Meet Miranda and her family

WHEN MIRANDA AND HER FAMILY CAME TO RIVERLEIGH A LITTLE OVER TEN YEARS AGO, THEIR NEW HOME CAME WITH AN OLD 1930'S SUMMERHOUSE IN THE GARDEN. IT WAS RESTORED FROM THE INSIDE OUT AND UNDERWENT A COMPLETE RENOVATION.

After being used as a holiday cabin by the Finnish side of the family, and playing host to visiting friends, it's now available to book - guests will find a warm welcome from Miranda, and her whole family loves meeting new people and introducing them to the wonderful sights of the area.

Miranda Gardiner is an artist and food writer, best known for her book Teaching Dad to Cook Flapjack, which is based on the life skills she taught her father as he became an independent cook. The Summerhouse shows signs of Miranda's love of cooking, with a library of well-thumbed cookbooks to browse and a fully kitted out kitchen. Her paintings can be found in private collections and galleries across the UK and a number of works hang on the walls of the Batman’s Summerhouse and Bowcombe Boathouse.
